Conversion - Rupees Into Paise
We already know that there are 100 paise in one rupee. So
I Rupee = 100 paise.
To convert rupees into paise we multiply the rupees with 100 and then add the paise to it.
Shortcut:
Remove the dot and remove the Rs from the beginning and place P (representing paise at the end
Now we solve a few example:
Illustration I: Convert Rs 7 into paise.
Solution.
We will multiply Rs 7 with 100 as there are no paise we will not add anything to it.
Rs 7 = 7 X 100 P = 700 P
Illustration 2: Convert Rs. 96.78 into paise
Solution.
We will multiply Rs 96 with 100 and will then add 78 paise to it.
Rs. 96.78 = Rs 96 and 78 P
